On Friday, 11 May 2012, the Madrid Congress Centre hosted the Ordinary General Meeting of the Association of PCOs of Madrid, where the accounts of the past financial year were discussed and approved, among others points of the agenda, and the new members were welcomed, including Madrid’s Emperador Hotel.
The aim of OPC Madrid, which has over 100 associated meeting and event venues and suppliers, is to boost the competitiveness of its members, encouraging professional and business collaboration between them, representing and defending their interests, and helping them to improve the quality of their services, thus projecting a strong joint brand image. During the meeting, which was attended by a large number of the association’s members, Matilde Almandoz, OPC Madrid’s chairwomen, stressed the importance of combating the problem of unlicensed service providers, while putting the accent on suitable communication strategies that contribute to highlighting the valuable work of PCOs.
The Emperador Hotel’s membership to OPC Madrid is part of its business strategy, whose objective is to position the property as an ideal venue for holding events, conventions and congresses in Central Madrid. This emblematic property, located at 53, Gran Via, has 12 function rooms, the largest being located on the 1st Floor, with natural light and unbeatable views of Gran Via, among other features.
The hotel’s 10th Floor is occupied by a 400sqm terrace, including a swimming pool, ideal for product presentations, cocktail parties, press conferences, and other types of corporate events. All with the best views of the old part of Madrid, including the Royal Palace, La Almudena and, of course, Gran Via.
In addition to its excellent facilities and services, the hotel is exceedingly well placed in Central Madrid, and the experience, flexibility and professionalism of its staff will ensure the success of any type of event.
